A Perfect Circle
Hi! I don't know where to start. I just wanted to write something, because I can't get to sleep. As always I am listening to music and also I am playing this stupid game which is actually really cool, because it almost always wins. Just check it out. It is really interesting. http://en.akinator.com/ It is about that blue human-like spirit that comes out from Alladin's lamp, but he doesn't give you one wish, but instead tries to guess the character you are imagining. Baiba, he even guessed you right! :D
A week ago I was in a new musician camp in Koknese. I was there for a week and it was really great. After knowing each other we all wanted that it would be longer than just 7 days. By the way it was my first camp ever! Not far from home tough. :) First two days there was not much to do, but in the third day Marcis - a guitar player from a band "Laime Pilniga" arrived. That was just an art when he touched his Gibson Les Paul guitar. He was crazy! But he was also a brilliant teacher. I respected him very much. As you may understood I was playing guitar. Mostly acoustic, but also a little bit electric. I wished that I could play more electric guitar, but it has very thick strings so it is tuned down one step. Why? Because I like metal and many metal songs are made in lower guitar tuning. I can't say that I learned very much, but what I learned was very important. Of course we weren't only practising guitar playing. There were a lot of fun games, free time and other acitivies. One day we had guests from somwhere in Latvia, they were two guys - biologists. We went to Kokneses park which was actually more like a forest and they told us many interesting things just by looking at a trees. They seemed still pretty young, but so smart! At one point they chose two volunteers who were dressed like trees and then hid them and in our way back to camp we had to find them. Not like going into the forest and searching for them, but just looking with our eyes and following the trail. We found one, which was really hard, but the other one was impossible to see, altought he was really close to us.
We also had the chance to listen how "Laime Pilniga" get's ready for their concert. It was almost like a concert only much funnier and it was for free. Oh, and yes, every band member was there and teaching something. In the last day in which we had lessons I went to Elvijs to try playing some drums. He had like fifteen to twenty minutes before he had to go, so we started fast and I got it fast. He and I were happily surprised, because it was my very first time at the drums and I got the base rhytm in no time. He even said that maybe I should play drums not the guitar and then he left, but I was still surprised!
On the last day we didn't have any lessons, but we had to get ready for a little concert made mostly for our parents. We were 30 students in our camp and for the concert we all were divided into 4 groups. Our group learned only one song, but it was hard. I had to play rhytm as everyone else and also a little solo which I had to make up by myself. That was it! Fast good bye's and I was home again.
I hope that everyone got great summer! I need some big party before school and then it will be great! :D
P.S. Here is that "tree".

Some title.
Hello! June is almost over and there are some things that I can tell you about how it was for me.
Well, first weeks were pretty boring, because all my other friends still had to go to school and I spent all my days mostly at home, playing guitar, computer games and some other stuff. And it was so hot that I didn't even want to go outside. Yes, but somehow I still managed to fell of from a skate board driving down from a pretty steep road. I won't go into details, but it was pretty bad. After that I had to stay at home again, because I couldn't do anything.
Then my friends got back from the school and I finally could enjoy the summer. We didn't do much, just hanging out, had some parties, but it was cool. In the middle of that I had to help my parents at the garden, home and my father's workplace. Soon it was Ligo and Jani day, which could have been better, because I just couldn't get on with the people I were. Of course we didn't argue, but the atmoshphere could have been better. Thanks to my friends who gave me oak leaves wreath, at least something I was happy about. So, yes, just got drunk as everyone else and in the morning went to sleep. By the way I didn't hear any Ligo song that night. This sounds awful, but it wasn't so bad, altought as I said it could have been better.
Now I have something to show you. Get ready and scroll down. Surprise? I'm happy I did it. But when I first saw Monta she was screaming "Nooo! Janis, why???" I think it's ok. By the way yesterday Davis was laughing and watching it done while I was at the hairdresser.
Besides that I guess I have nothing special more to say. I am planning to go to some music festival in July, but I can't decide whether to go to Fonofest or Summer Sound Festival, but one of them definately! Oh, yes, now that it is summer I can sleep longer and for me that means that I can try lucid dreaming. It is a special way of dreaming where you control everything. Everything you image can become real. It's almost like a drug. You can google more about it if you want or just visit http://www.ld4all.com/ It got me really interested. Last summer had some succes, but not long enough.
That's it for now! See you later! And enjoy summer as much as you can!
